Pizza sauce

This is my go to recipe for pizza sauce. We just love the flavor and I always have the ingredients on hand to whip up a batch. Today I made some mini pizzas with it. I just used some pizza dough, the sauce, chopped red and green peppers, pepperoni and cheese. A few more peppers for garnish.

You can add more water if you like, but I like a thick sauce. You can also adjust the seasonings to your tastes. I  like to make it ahead of time and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours...or overnight. I warn you...it doesn't taste as good if you don't!

This makes a great dipping sauce for bread sticks too. It's rich, thick and delicious!
