Baked Spaghetti

The colder weather has hit us here up north, and the warm comfort food recipes are out!

People are making hot dishes, stews, and soups. Anything to try to keep warm!

I dug out this favorite comfort food recipe that I haven't made in awhile. Baked Spaghetti. It's posted on my other blog, a lighter version, which you can find here.

This is a very versatile dish, as you can add green pepper, olives, mushrooms, whatever you like. My guys like it with hamburger and pepperoni.

This is a popular dish at potlucks, as it travels well. It's also great reheated the next day...if you have any leftovers. I like to freeze it in small containers to take to work for lunch, too.

Stay warm!

Baked Spaghetti

8 oz. spaghetti, cooked and drained
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
2 T. butter
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 lb. hamburger, browned
1  (1 lb. 8 oz.}jar Ragu spaghetti sauce
4 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
3 oz. pepperoni slices
1 tsp. oregano
olive oil {to drizzle}

Mix the cooked and drained spaghetti with the butter, Parmesan cheese, and eggs. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Top with the browned hamburger, the Ragu sauce, the cheese and the peperoni slices. Sprinkle the oregano on top and drizzle with olive oil. Cover and bake at 350 for 25- 35 minutes until bubbly. Let set 5 minutes before cutting and serving.

Wow! That looks good even at this hour of the morning. I have seen recipes for baked spaghetti but have never made it but I am going to. Spaghetti is a big favorite at our house. I would be pleased if you would add this to my Cozy Your Home Party. I'm sure it would be a big hit.------

Wow! It is so cold here and this is perfect for this weather! It looks and sounds delicious and is on my list to try. Wonder how it would be to substitute Italian sausage for the hamburger? Thanks for the recipe!

Thank you so much for coming to my party. I appreciate it very much. I showed the picture of your spaghetti to my Mom and she wants me to make it. I like pepperoni (almost spelled pupperoni because my dogs love it ) and ripe olives so I think that combination sounds good. Again, thanks and join me next Tues. if you can. --------- Shannon

Just made this for dinner tonight, and it was delicious! Both my boyfriend and I loved it! I only had one egg in my fridge so I made do with that and the dish still turned out great. Thanks for the recipe! :)
