Slow Cooker Root Beer Shredded Pork

I have to admit I like pulled pork...anyway and anytime. I have tried so many recipes and I always think each one is good. Just like this one.

We could really taste the sweetness of the root beer coming through the BBQ sauce. I used Sweet Baby Rays this time, which has been our favorite lately. The pork just melted in your mouth. I just wanted to dig in the slow cooker with my spoon!

Which I probably don't need to tell you, but I did!

I found the recipe on Allrecipes.

Give it a try and see what you think...it couldn't be any easier!

Slow Cooker Root Beer Shredded Pork

1 can root beer (I used A&W)
1 pork roast
BBQ sauce (I just dumped until I got a taste and consistency I liked)

Pour the root beer over the pork roast in the crock pot. Cook on low 6-8 hours until the pork shreds easily with a fork. Drain some of the root beer sauce off and stir in some of your favorite BBQ sauce. Reheat and serve on buns. Print Friendly and PDF

What kind of pork roast is best for this - I'd love to try it. Thanks!
