Almond Peach Cobbler

Mmmm...fresh out of the oven, still warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream...what a treat!

I made just a half of a recipe, and I think this will go quickly...the hint of almond makes this cobbler so delicious.... it's hard to leave alone. The crust is so light and just the perfect amount to let the peaches be the star of the dessert!

Almond Peach Cobbler

8-10 peaches, peeled and sliced
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Place the peaches in the bottom of a 9 x 13 glass pan. Mix the butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, milk and vanilla. Pour over the peaches.

Mix and pour on top:

3/4 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. almond extract

Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until lightly browned and peaches are tender. Serve warm!
