I remember when the ice cream sandwich dessert first became popular. My mom made it often in the summers for my kids when they were little. We all loved it! She made it without any candy.
Since then, there have been so many versions of this simple, yet delicious dessert. My favorite though... is this one....with the Whoppers.
YUM!
12 ice cream sandwiches, unwrapped
12 oz. cool whip
hot fudge topping
carton of whoppers,chopped
Place sandwiches in a 9 x 13 pan. Drizzle some hot fudge on top. Mix most of the chopped whoppers with the cool whip and spread on top. Sprinkle with remaining chopped whoppers. Drizzle with more hot fudge. Freeze.
