Oh yum. I'm in trouble when I make these. I can't eat just one piece. They are awesome with fresh fruit but I just love them with warm maple syrup, too. I like the edges the best....
I usually use this recipe:
Easy Bake Pancakes
2 T. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
Preheat oven to 450. Melt butter in a 9x13 pan. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs by hand. Add milk and flour mixing only until slightly lumpy. Pour into pan and bake for 15 min.
But I found this one in a church cookbook and decided to give it a try. It isn't as puffy as the other recipe and is a bit thicker. I loved the added butter, of course! Try either one...they're both good!
Oven Pancakes
1/2 c. butter
6 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Melt butter in a 9x13 glass pan in a 425 oven. Beat the eggs and milk, add the flour and salt. Don't over beat. Pour into the pan. Bake 30 minutes.
Ok so I'm now craving these after seeing these gorgeous pics...yum!!! xx
ReplyDeleteI worked at a restaurant a looong time ago that baked pancakes (known as dutch babies) were the specialty. They used sauted apples as the topper.
