Mint Almond Bark

I love this stuff. I made just half a batch for Brent and I, or I'd eat the whole thing.

It's very simple to make.  I found the recipe on Baked By Rachel.  There really isn't much to it, and it sure is fun to have around for the holidays!

Mint Bark

4 oz. dark chocolate
4 oz. white chocolate
1 tsp. vegetable oil, divided
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract, divided
crushed candy canes

Melt the dark chocolate and add 1/2 tsp. oil and 1/8 tsp mint. Spread on parchment paper. Let set until firm. Melt the white chocolate and add 1/2 tsp. oil, and 1/8 tsp. mint. Spread on top of chocolate. Sprinkle with crushed candy canes and let set. Break into pieces.

  4. Great recipe! I tried this one year before I knew that you were supposed to add a bit of oil or shortening to the mix to get it to flow better. Now I know! Looks delicious. :-)
