I made one of the recipes floating around Pinterest for "
brownie in a mug." It was delicious!
The only change I made was to make it in two small 4 oz. ramekins instead of a mug. One is just the right amount for a dessert.
It was so good! I loved the rich, sweet, chocolate..it really hit the spot!
Brownie in a Mug
2 Tbsp. oil
2 Tbsp. water
1/4 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
4 Tbsp. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
Mix well and spoon into a coffee mug. Microwave 60-90 seconds. Best eaten while warm.
Oh Laurie, I am SO tempted to go to the kitchen and make that right now!! It's well below zero degrees (a three dog night and we've only got two dogs). That brownie looks fantastic! ♥
ReplyDeletelove it!
ReplyDeleteyou are the second blogger that i have read this morning who has found a recipe on pinterest and tried it. i am so scared of pinterest because i think it will just be another addiction :)
I tried this last night and it was delicious! I love that it is a single serving that way there is not a pan laying around to tempt you! Then only thing I have a question on is it really suppose to be 2 TBSP of Cocoa or is it 2 tsp? Thanks

I am eating this right now and it so delicious! Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI just made this, and it's fantastic! I agree with less cocoa. Maybe it should have been 2 teaspoons... 1 Tbs would be just fine.
ReplyDeleteWhile eating this, I'm thinking it would be even more amazing if you tossed a chewy caramel candy in with the batter before you microwaved it. :)
I thought the cocoa amount was okay but I wouldn't mind less...I'm not huge on chocolate!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I had a problem with was that it tasted a little oily!
Has anybody tried melted butter instead?
I'm having a problem with getting the brownie consistency. My tries keep coming out like thick chocolate sauce and never an actual brownie. someone help
ReplyDeleteI haven't made it yet (I think I might tonight!), but my first guess would be you didn't cook it long enough?
