Pinned it, tried it, and LOVED it!
I have to say there aren't very many things I pin that I don't like. There are a million good recipes on Pinterest!
This is one of them..quick and tasty..perfect for an easy week night meal!
Sweet Baby Ray's Crock pot BBQ Chicken
4 to 6 chicken breasts
1 (18 oz.) Sweet baby Ray's BBQ sauce
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Mix all the ingredients together and pour over chicken in crock pot. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours until pull apart tender.
This is certainly worth trying and easy!!! Thanks for the constant supply of delicious meal recipes. You are an awesome "go to" for - the what to cook tonight dilemma - and we are never disappointed! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome! This is the only BBQ sauce we use in my house. My husband loves it. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am going to try this yummy recipe, but was wondering how many people it will feed? I need to feed around 10 people.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how many this feeds..I'm guessing 6 breasts shredded would fill 12 buns. I will check next time I make it!
ReplyDeleteThis was delish!
ReplyDeleteTrying this tonight! So excited!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of vinegar? Red or white
ReplyDeleteI used white vinegar.
ReplyDeleteI use the recipe constantly! They are always a big hit and a crowd pleaser!
ReplyDeleteDo you add any water? I will put enough to cover Bottom I guess as always
ReplyDeleteMy 9 year olds favorite now. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat brand of buns did you use?
ReplyDeleteI used Cash Wise buns.
ReplyDeleteI want to make the bbq as sliders( smaller size) how many rolls do you think I’ll need?
ReplyDeleteI was able to make 24 using the small Hawaiian slider rolls. I used 4 chicken breast for the receipe.
DeleteSo so good. Made it today and love it
DeleteI guess it depends on how much you put on each bun. It serves about 8.
ReplyDeleteDo you put your chicken breasts in thawed or frozen?
ReplyDeleteDo you use a specific vinegar or just any white?
ReplyDeleteDid you used boneless breasts or bone-in?
ReplyDeleteAdding water will water down your sauce. If you use frozen chicken it will also water down your sauce and take longer to cook.
ReplyDeleteBoneless chicken breasts will be less work in the long run.
My rule of thumb is one chicken breast per adult, in terms of serving size.
I used sweet Hawaiian slider rolls and was able to make 24 total
ReplyDeleteBoneless
ReplyDeleteIf I’m doing half the amount )2chicken breast’s) should I still heat on low for the 4-6 hours?
ReplyDeleteDelish! Used Hickory and Brown Sugar BBQ sauce, so reduced sugar to 1/4 cup. Used Apple Cider Vinegar and added onions. Tossed in the chicken breasts frozen and cooked on low for 6 hours.
ReplyDeleteI try so many Pinterest recipes that are disappointing. This is NOT one of them. Absolutely the easiest, most delicious barbecue chicken ever. I did shred it for sandwiches but the breasts could easily be served whole with sides as a meal. I followed the recipe exactly as written - no subs or changes- and it was perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis was extremely hot. As in picante hot. I was worried about the teaspoon of pepper flakes but since there were so many positive comments I went ahead and followed the recipe. We couldn't eat it.
ReplyDeleteI never put in any red pepper flakes and it's still delicious
DeleteDramatic much? One tsp of red pepper flakes wouldn’t make it too hot, it just adds flavor.
DeleteGood to know. I’m making these tomorrow for a pool party crowd and was hesitant about the pepper flakes out. I think I’ll leave them out. Thanks!
DeleteWhy vinegar?
ReplyDeleteCan you put the chicken in crockpot frozen and cook 6-10 hours on low?
ReplyDeleteIt’s good! Scale back on the red pepper though if you don’t like spicy!!
ReplyDeleteThe BEST!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeen making this for many years now. It's so easy and delicious. Made for a sibling reunion in NC...I took a nap to wake up and no chicken or shredded chicken left. Just the dirty slow cooker.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my go to recipes!! So easy to throw together and let cook, and you can feed so many people! Perfect for our Sunday night family dinner!
ReplyDeleteWe’ve been making this for years also. I love it because it’s so easy and my family loves it because it’s so delicious! Thanks for sharing this!
