I love ganache. I love chocolate cake. The two together make a perfect dessert for the holidays...actually anytime!
This is very rich and some people might want a small slice...SOME people...not me. I can handle it!
The cake is moist and oh so chocolaty. The ganache thick and creamy.
Every bite a treat.
1 c. flour
1/4 c. and 2 T. cocoa
1/2 tsp.baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. melted butter, warm
1 1/4 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. water
Mix the dry ingredients together. Mix the eggs and brown sugar, add the vanilla and melted butter. Add the flour mixture, and mix. Add the hot water and mix until smooth. Pour into a greased 9 inch pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, run a knife around the sides and remove from pan to cool completely.
Melt 3/4 c. chocolate chips in the microwave and add 1/2 to 3/4 c. heavy whipping cream. Mix until smooth and pour over the cake.

Laurie, this sounds wonderful. I love fudge cakes and your photo is tugging at my heart. I've no chocolate desserts planned for the holiday and I'm starting to regret that. I hope you have a great holiday. Blessings...Mary
This is my kind of sweet! Chocolatey and sinful!
Oh that looks like heaven on a plate.
What a yummy treat! I'd probably go for a small slice, but I'd do it often enough that it would equal a big slice!
Holy yummy! I'm with you...a small slice of this wouldn't do. :-)
Ooooh, thats a lovely chocolate cake!
This is an oh wow picture and recipe. It looks decadent!
