Grilled Pizza


Last night was pizza night! I had a lot of fresh mozzarella on hand and its so good on grilled pizza. You can put on any toppings your heart desires. My heart desired basil, mushrooms, peperoni, ham, green pepper,olives, cheese and pizza sauce. I could hardly wait to take a bite...or two...or three....



Pizza Dough


1 envelope active dry yeast

1 1/4c. warm water

1 tsp. sugar

Stir and let sit 5-10 minutes until foamy.


3 1/2 c. flour

1 1/2 tsp. salt

2 T. olive oil


Add to yeast mixture, mix and knead a few times. Shape into a ball.


Coat with olive oil, cover, and set in a warm place to rise,1 1/2 hours. Punch down and let rise 1 hour. Cut into 4 balls. Roll out. Drizzle with olive oil and place on the grill. Grill both sides lightly before adding toppings. Add toppings, grill until the cheese melts. I finish them under the broiler to speed it up!
