Strawberries Devonshire
Guess what I did with the rest of the strawberries I had left over from my fruit tarts..... I made Strawberry Devonshire.
So simple and yet so delicious! The sweet brown sugar and sour cream was such a nice balance with the tart berries, we loved it! I added some crunchy almonds on top for garnish. So pretty to serve guests after a meal, too!
Strawberries Devonshire
{Home Cooking}
2 pints fresh strawberries
1 1/2 c. sour cream {I used lite}
1/4 c. brown sugar {or more to taste}
Mix the sour cream and brown sugar until well blended. Serve over berries. Serves 4-6.

Yum, it's like they say, sometimes the simple things in life are the best. This dessert certainly exemplifies that fact.
What a beautiful dessert! Isn't if funny how something so simple can be so elegant?
I saw the first strawberries in the market. I was thinking to buy them but I didn't eventually, now that I saw yours I regret it very much.
