French Toast with Coconut Syrup...pinned it and tried it

Pinned, tried and liked!

I wasn't too sure about this recipe when I read the added flour mixed in with the egg mixture, but it was good. It gave a bit thicker coating.
The winner in this recipe was the syrup....I could have eaten it by the spoonful!

French Toast with Coconut Syrup

4 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. plus
2 Tbsp. flour
1 large loaf of french bread, sliced

Mix all together. Dip bread into mixture and grill on both sides until golden brown.

Syrup:
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. coconut extract

Cook butter and buttermilk and sugar until boiling. Boil 1 minute.Add baking soda and extract. it will bubble up, keep stirring. Let set to thicken before serving.
