Brown Sugar Cookies

Another cookie recipe to check off my list of those I must try!

And this one is another keeper. We loved the buttery caramel taste. The cookie itself just meted in your mouth, and the frosting put it over the top with its rich brown sugar taste.

They were fun to make and fun to eat!

Brown Sugar Cookies
T of H

1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c ground pecans ( I just chopped mine)

Cream the butter and sugars, add vanilla and egg. Stir in  the dry ingredients and pecans. Refrigerate 20 minutes. Roll into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on parchment paper and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely and drizzle with frosting.

Frosting
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. half and half cream
1 c. powdered sugar

Combine the brown sugar and half and half in a saucepan and heat to boiling. Boil 4 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in the powdered sugar and drizzle over cookies.
