Cheeseburger Pasta

SO simple and SO good!

Now that the weather is turning a bit cooler I like to dig out some comfort food recipes.
How did this happen anyway? It's the first of September and already it's sweatshirt weather up north. I'm not sure what happened to the summer...way too fast.

I found this recipe in a Taste of Home magazine and adapted it slightly. Instead of relish I just chopped up some dill pickles. I also used some as a garnish.

This really does taste like a cheeseburger!

Cheeseburger Pasta
T of H

1 1/2 c. uncooked penne pasta
1 lb. hamburger
2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
1 can ( 14 1/2 oz.) no salt tomatoes, diced
2 Tbsp. chopped dill pickles or dill pickle relish
2 Tbsp. Ketchup
2 Tbsp. Mustard
1 tsp. Ken Davis steak seasoning
1/4 tsp. Lawry's seasoned salt

3/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese (for garnish)

Cook the pasta according to package. Meanwhile, brown the burger and onion, drain well. Drain the pasta and add to the meat. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, heat till boiling and simmer 5 minutes. Top with cheese before serving. And more chopped pickles!!

Perfect comfort food! It has cooled down here, but will be back in high 80's in a couple of days so am bookmarking this for later.
