Corn bread






It's corn bread for supper!

I have alot of recipes for corn bread that I really like, I don't know why I keep trying new ones. But I have to say this is another good recipe to add to my collection.

We liked the cake like texture and the sweet honey butter was perfect!




Marie Callenders Famous Cornbread

1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. corn meal
2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg


Mix and pour into a  8" greased baking dish. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes. Serve with honey butter.

Honey Butter
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. honey
Mix well.
