I found myself out of ketchup, and too late to run to the store. So I googled it and this recipe popped up. It was a great replacement, and actually probably alot better for you with out all the added sugar and preservatives!
Heinz Tomato Ketchup
6 oz. tomato paste
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. corn syrup (or honey or agave)
1/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Mix and heat to boiling. reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

I am pinning this! Living 15 minutes from the closest grocery store, running out of ketchup happens to often.
That's some good looking ketchup! I haven't made homemade ketchup in a long time and your recipe sounds great for it.
What a great idea! I never thought to make homemade and have run out!
Yumm this came out delicious I don’t think I’m buying ketchup again
Mine was a bit runny… How do I thicken it?
We made this for the 1st time & it was awesome. Tried other recipes & none were as good as this. No more store bought ketchup for us. We also make our own mayo from the fail proof mayo recipe. Love making all the things we make homemade.
