Chocolate Chip Raspberry Bars
This is a photo I took while the bars were still warm....right out of the oven. The chocolate chips were melting, very gooey, and SO yummy!
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the combo of almond, raspberry and chocolate.
These are a winner.
Rich and decadent!
Chocolate Chip Raspberry Bars
{T of H}
1 3/4 flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. cold butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. raspberry jam ( I used less)
1/2 c. mini chocolate chips
Combine the flour and sugar. Cut in the butter until resembles coarse crumbs. Add the almond extract and egg. Stir until moistened. Reserve 1 c. for the topping. Spread and pat the rest into a 7x11 pan. Bake 5 minutes at 350. Spread with jam and sprinkle with the reserved crumb mixture. Bake another 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Return to the oven until glossy, about 45 seconds. Remove and cool. Cut into bars.
